Aloof and quiet. Ragnarok doesn't like Laguna, though Laguna likes him. Snivy, after all, tend to dislike trainers who they don't see as their leaders. Hmph. He needs this man to be proven to him, before he'll trust him as his trainer.
He will fight for him, but he won't take commands from him, for now. Secretly, he doesn't wish to be a Serperior. After Layla joined the party, Ragnarok spends a lot of time around her. In fact, since Laguna tends to travel with them apart, he's becoming more unruly and quick to act out.

Ah, a lovesick Pokemon. Ragnarok also has a bit of doubt in his heart - because of Layla. Why did she need to be so confusing? Why?!

Laguna spoiled Ragnarok before vanishing - a few days beforehand, he went to the store and brought him all the TMs he could work with. He wanted to make sure Ragnarok knew he wasn't gonna leave him. He wanted to show the starter he cared for him. And for what? A vanishing act.

At level 35, Ragnarok suddenly started to refuse to battle. Laguna doesn't know why, and Ragnarok isn't talkative though the psychics. But when Ragnarok got an Everstone, he returned to battle.
