ragnarok_strike[The video begins, with Laguna with two eggs with him. Seriously. Two more are also coming. Laguna why.
But really, there's a whole crowd of Pokemon around him - two Ralts playing Triple Triad, a sad little shiny Wooper with a Butterfree patting it on the head - but what's important is that his Shiny Munna is there, nomming on the air once more. He's just kind of laying there - the video was turned on by Alex the Zorua. Laguna knows it's on, but he's just thinking to himself.
Out loud.
Why's he getting it recorded, then? In case he gets amnesia once more, duh.]
Let me go though this again - it's still kinda confusing.
[The Munna nods, as it nibbles, trying to bring out more memories for daddy.]
Th' six of us - Vaan, Yuna, Kain, Tifa, Light and me - we're dead. Can't really believe it - but it's the last thing which happened there. And I was doing dangerous things at home... just hope she's okay. Can't really accept it, though. I don't want to be dead.
[Siigh. Laguna looks upwards a bit. He doesn't feel like this often... maybe he should get on the road. He's getting that urge.]
At least that gives me a reason to relax a bit more. Can't worry too much about home when I might not even have one to go to. But there's still all that stuff going on there...
[But now, he's gonna turn and ask a question gasp now you know it wasn't accidental.]
What sort of levels should I be looking at for the gym here? It'll probably still be a while more, but being able to use Fly - it'd sure be handy! And it sounds fun, flying around the skies! I'd probably also need the HM thing for it too - where do you find that?

[Well, most of everything. He still has trouble remembering things like Terra's hair color, or if the Onion Knight ever smiled.]
Deaths that happened during the cycles were not quite as permanent as we thought they'd be. Other than theirs, perhaps.

make sure Kururu's stuck in Route forever.]Anyway - it was a strange cycle, I think? We might not have passed if we hadn't gone to seal away the Manikins. But, we did, and we ended up dead.

[And every time they disappeared it felt a little more like a stab in the heart.]
We managed to permanently end it. Perhaps that's what brought you back. Kain is most definitely alive and walking around wearing baby blue, after all.

Tifa was amnesiac? That must have been awkward!
[just like this then??? But Laguna then just has a bit of a grin.]
Kain's wearing baby blue? That wouldn't suit him at all! He was always a darker guy then that - unless he was trying to blend in with the sky when he stabbed us, of course!

[Because they absolutely had to get along during those less pleasant times, right?]
Urgh. I still need to reprimand my brother for encouraging that in the first place. Neither of them should ever have had that idea.
[And by 'reprimand' he means 'break his face'.]

But, it worked, didn't it? You guys got another chance, even if we didn't.
[because laguna thinks he is dead. at least it's better then squall is dead???]

We had another chance that involved not knowing anything about the world surrounding us, Chaos' warriors trying to manipulate us for the sake of a dozen of plans, and Cosmos' inevitable death. It was hardly a pleasant one.

But that tale of the next cycle just makes him pause once more.]
Well, it was either that or complete failure, right? Did you end it that time, or did it keep on going?

We ended it, but barely, by the time we reached Chaos even the power of the crystals could barely keep us alive.

I did not. Even when I saw Kain of my brother, I remembered nothing of it. It was only when I arrived here that I realized there had been something missing.

But it's soon shaken. Remembering with his heart and all of that. It's not like it's gone forever, or anything like that!
And then, Laguna asks:]
How's Kain doing, anyway?

[A beat. Oh dear, that sounded a bit bitter.]
...Well enough. He's been travelling with my son for some time, and I believe it's done him some good.

I do. Ceodore. He left to earn his knighthood not long before I was brought here. He'd be nineteen, by now.

I mean, unless Kain's rubbing off on him while they're together. No offense to Kain, but I don't think one world can hold two guys like him.
